Cooper joined Squire Coaching after being connected with us through his Occupational Therapist, who believed movement-based support could help him build confidence, connection and participation.
Cooper is neurodivergent and has experienced challenges with social interaction, communication, learning and developmental skills. For us, sessions are about meeting Cooper where he’s at, building trust and using movement as a way to connect.
And when it comes to radios, Cooper is the expert. He has a huge passion for all things radio and loves sharing his knowledge and fun facts with everyone around him. He’s also incredibly caring, emotionally aware and values genuine connection.
Through our sessions, we’ve been working on fitness, social participation and community engagement. When we first started, Cooper could run for around 30 seconds before needing to stop. Just a few months later, he completed over 4km during a 45-minute session.
We’re incredibly proud of the progress Cooper has made and, most importantly, the confidence he continues to build. Every session is another opportunity to move, connect and have a great time.
Friday sessions with CJ are always a great way to finish the week.
CJ has been working with us since late 2024, and we’ve loved seeing his confidence and engagement grow throughout our time together. We recently had the opportunity to use CJ’s gym membership for a personal training session, giving us a great chance to combine fitness with community participation.
Getting out into the community and attending a mainstream gym provides CJ with opportunities to socialise, practise communication skills and build confidence, all while working towards his fitness goals.
We also make use of the gym’s range of machines to help support good form, stability and controlled movement, allowing CJ to focus on performing each exercise safely and confidently.
Most importantly, CJ absolutely loves getting into the gym. We have plenty of fun during our sessions, and it’s been fantastic watching him continue to grow along the way.
Jasper and I have been working together since July 2023, and in that time, he has gone from strength to strength.
Through weekly training sessions, we’ve worked on building Jasper’s muscle mass, endurance and overall fitness while using movement to support his NDIS goals.
But beyond the physical progress, one of the most rewarding parts has been the friendship and trust we’ve built along the way. Jasper has made fantastic progress with his conversational skills, confidence, community participation and ability to manage different public environments. We’ve also seen a noticeable improvement in his overall anxiety.
Jasper continues to kick goals week after week, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far he has come.
We can’t wait to see what’s next.
Nathan and I have been working together since late 2023, and it has been incredible to see how far he has come.
Throughout his fitness journey, Nathan has lost 30kg while building his overall fitness, confidence and wellbeing. We’ve worked together through a combination of home and gym-based sessions, creating a routine that works for him and his goals.
As his confidence has grown, so has the way we train. We’re now working through more complex movements and exercises, with Nathan constantly challenging himself, learning new skills and giving new things a go.
The physical progress has been fantastic, but seeing Nathan’s confidence grow and his willingness to push himself has been the most rewarding part of the journey.
I couldn’t be prouder of how far Nathan has come and can’t wait to see what’s next.
Friday nights are always better with a session with CJ.
CJ and I have been working together since October 2024, with our sessions ranging from gym-based personal training to community-focused fitness activities.
Each session is an opportunity to build CJ’s fitness, confidence and communication skills while encouraging greater participation in the community. Most importantly, we make sure there’s plenty of fun along the way.
It’s been fantastic working with CJ and seeing his confidence continue to grow. There’s definitely plenty more to come from this legend.
